Chinle High School is located in Chinle, Arizona which is in the northeastern corner of the state. We are just a few miles from the National Monument, Canyon De Chelly.
Tradditional WildcatChinle High School is the largest high school on the Navajo Nation with a student body population of 1130 students. We have 125 staff members including teachers, counselors, support staff and administration.
As a performing high school under the State of Arizona’s school evaluation system, Chinle High School strives to provide educational opportunities where students may achieve their potential. In addition to the core subject areas which all have rigorous curriculums aligned to the Arizona State Academic Standards, CHS offers students a variety of electives, extra-curricular activites and programs designed to lead them to success. Our Career and Technical Education offers 16 different programs to our students including several that can lead to industry recognized certifications upon completion. Additionally, students can take electives in areas such as fine arts, foriegn language and fitness.
Chinle High School also offers a broad range of extra curricular activites including band, student government, basketball, football, volleyball, cross country, track, baseball, softball and JROTC.
